Kylie Cosmetics ‘True Brown’ Lipkit Review

Hey there lovelies!

I apologize for my absence, I know it’s been quite a long one, but life happened and I had to prioritize.  Unfortunately, that meant leaving my blog behind for a little longer than I was hoping for.

I am back and will be starting to post things regularly again, starting today with a review! For Christmas, I got a Kylie Cosmetics lipkit in the shade True Brown, and I got a single liquid lip in the shade Kymajesty (which I think needs it’s own review).

To start it off, when I first opened the package, I was a little worried because the shade of brown was not what I was expecting it to be. It looked too light and orangey, and I was worried about how it was going to look on my lips.

When I swatched the liquid lip on my hand, I felt so relieved. I think Kylie was pretty accurate when she named it ‘True Brown’. Also, I love the vanilla scent that it has. I think it could be a little overpowering for individuals who are sensitive to smell, but I don’t mind it one bit.

Now we get to the really good part: Applying it to the lips.

I started off lining my lips with the lip liner that came with the lip kit. Oh my goodness, that is the creamiest lip liner I’ve ever used. It glides on so perfectly and has awesome colour payout. A big win for me.

The liquid lipstick applied so smoothly and easily. It wasn’t streaky at all, and if I had really wanted to, i could’ve only applied one coat because it has such good coverage. I applied two coats just to ensure that it was looking perfect. After the application, it dried down fairly quickly to a perfect matte lip. Hardly anything came off when I kiss tested on my boyfriend, which is a big plus!

The only downfall of this lipstick is that it did rub off after eating. Usually it’s not a big deal for me if I have to reapply after eating, but when I’m wearing such a dark shade and you can clearly see the pink of my lips showing, it’s not the best.

Overall, I am really happy with this lipkit!  It was my first time trying any Kylie Cosmetics and I’m honestly very happy with the product. Overall, I will give it a 4/5!
